The workshop trained
all 19 Project

Candidate Survey
Available
|
Children First/CIS recently conducted a survey that included candidates running for the Buncombe County Commissioners and Chairperson, Buncombe County School Board, and the State Legislative Races in Buncombe County. Additional co-sponsors included League of Women Voters, Christians for a United Community, Just Economics, MANNA Foodbank, and the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. Children First/CIS submitted a candidate survey to candidates running in all three races and candidates for the Buncombe County Board of Education. The results have been compiled in the Children First/CIS Survey and Voter Guide that is available in print format or in a PDF format at www.childrenfirstbc.org. This publication offers an opportunity to raise important issues during the campaign season, educate voters, and build relationships between candidates, voters, and organizations that reinforce civic engagement. Please note that as a 501(c)3 organization, Children First/CIS cannot endorse, or oppose any political candidates or parties.
